How to Practice Swing ¶

Hello All,
Coming off just reading Tom Coyne's Paper Tiger (great read about a good amateur player who dedicates himself to golf for a full year with the goal of making the Tour). I played a round yesterday and came to an interesting realization. Tom talks about having developed the skills to play golf well, but having underdeveloped ability to handle tournament rounds.
After playing yesterday, I feel like I have a similar issue. I have developed the mechanics of the full swing, finesse and distance wedges and putting, but my skill of playing a round is relatively undeveloped. I realized that I do not even know what a good practice swing should feel like. I'm so used to practicing hitting balls where I have the feedback of watching the ball flight.
So, now I am going to practice what has to be about the most boring thing to practice in golf; practice swings. I'm going to take a couple practice swings with a driver, then hit one. Then take a couple swings with a nine iron, then hit one, and so one with a distance wedge, finesse wedge and putt. Then repeat. Hopefully, this will pay off and get me some practice that simulates what I experience in a round a little better. At this point, I know I have the technical skills to score better than I am right now, I need to practice the feel of being in a round.
