I seem to remember that you had an analysis of Matthew Wolff's swing? Perhaps, I'm misremembering. Curious your thoughts about his pivot motion and using the lead heel as a timing mechanism to activate the sequencing.

Thanks!

+chordsaplenty I thought I had done an analysis on Matt Wolff's swing as well. But I couldn't find it either! I'll have to do another one in the near future.

I think for a lot of golfers, using a step or lifting the heel to help with timing and range of backswing is beneficial. He does a great job of keeping his head height consistent when he lifts his foot. I see some golfers struggle with standing up when the foot comes off the ground. Keep an eye on that. Otherwise, the heel lift is a good move to try.

I look forward to any analysis that you might do... looking at it more it occurred to me that this is very similar to the Mike Austin- lead foot>heel up on backswing pivot to the lead foot heel down to initiate the downswing. "Austin swing"heads are a funny breed but there are some solid principles. (if you haven't seen the video it's really something else). You should get one of those suits. hahaha

+chordsaplenty I do think having the lead heel come over the ground can help with rhythm/sequencing.

Also, thanks for posting the Mike Austin video, I definitely would wear one of those suits if I can find one :)
