I am a good iron player but struggle with an out to in swing path with the driver I have been working on keeping back to target longer in transition and starting with the arms and ulnar would live to here your thoughts some swings below are better than others I believe sometimes I spin the shoulders to early and also the speed of the swing gets my arms far away from my body. About 6 inches before contact I get outside the target line I'm really only out to in with the driver and long clubs not with 7 iron and up

Hi Joseph,

Yes, it does look like the club gets a little over at the bottom. There are a couple of main reasons someone gets over at the bottom. The arms pull in too much or the body turns too level. Looking at your release, primarily from the face-on clip, you'll see why it's over at the bottom. There's very little axis tilt and side bend of the body. This probably helps you cover the ball and hit solid iron shots, but definitely will cause the club to have a tendency to be steep with the driver. Your arm extension is nice, so it's likely more of the body contribution. I'd work on the follow-through position and the bracing to get a little more tilt. Initially, you might feel like you drop-kick some shots unless the arm extension timing adjusts a big. Also, you might hit shots more to the left, but it should be more of a push start line. That will free you up to square the face a little more but still launch the ball high enough for distance.

Good luck!

Tyler

PS - Just a note for all the members, youtube videos are a little a harder to analyze than if you upload the video to our site when your post. That way I can scrub through it easily. Scrubbing is a technique that I do when analyzing videos that's impossible to do on a web clip, so I miss some of the analysis on youtube clips.
