Trail elbow/getting stuck/sliding

Hi Tyler, I use live view for filming/checking my swing. However, this swing is from my iPad. I noticed my trail elbow is still getting stuck/left behind my body on the downswing. Do you see excess sliding causing the trail arm to fall behind in downswing? I’m trying to get my trail elbow in front of body at impact. Do I need more “wipe” movement of trail arm?

Sorry for the delay, I gave a speech to a group of instructors at the TPI Summit this past weekend and I was busy prepping for my presentation.

But yes, I see the same thing, I think the arm behind is happening early. I’d be curious to see the DTL to see if the body is getting in the way or if the arms are just getting stuck too far behind.

It looks like the shoulder blades are going with the pelvis and core in transition. This prevents the arms from having room to get in front of the body. So yes, I think we need more wipe, but you need your body to be in a position where the wipe is possible. Post a pump drill from face on and DTL (ideally including the hit) and we’ll get to the bottom of it.

Happy Golfing,
Tyler
