Fall To Heels - A Smoother Body Transition

Similar to the pushing through the ground but giving a little different tactile feel. Make a backswing pivot with your heels off the ground, then feel the foot fall or roll into the heel as you start down. The diagonal movement should move into the left heel as you approach impact.

00:00:00,000 --> 00:00:04,000
Okay, this drill is called fall to heels and it's for the early

00:00:04,000 --> 00:00:08,000
stenders and it's very similar to the push the ground away from you drill.

00:00:08,000 --> 00:00:12,000
But this is going to be more of a passive movement instead of the active way of

00:00:12,000 --> 00:00:14,000
feeling like you're pushing the ground away from you.

00:00:14,000 --> 00:00:18,000
So what you can do is you can take your little nine to three swing

00:00:18,000 --> 00:00:22,000
and at the nine o'clock position you're going to actually go up on your toes

00:00:22,000 --> 00:00:28,000
like so and then you're going to feel like you actually fall into your heels

00:00:28,000 --> 00:00:32,000
as you swing down. Now this is going to create a lot of movement.

00:00:32,000 --> 00:00:38,000
It's an exaggeration of the feeling of moving into your heel into the left heel.

00:00:38,000 --> 00:00:42,000
But sometimes if you're early extending and you're drifting into your toes

00:00:42,000 --> 00:00:48,000
and you're not really aware of it you need this exaggeration in order to kind of get the

00:00:48,000 --> 00:00:52,000
feeling that we're looking for. So again it's just this nine to three where you go up

00:00:52,000 --> 00:00:56,000
one of your toes at the nine and then you fall into your heels on the three.

00:00:56,000 --> 00:01:00,000
It will be tough to keep your balance all the way through. So I recommend if you do

00:01:00,000 --> 00:01:04,000
actually try to hit golf balls, tee them up because we're not worried about

00:01:04,000 --> 00:01:06,000
solid contact here. It's just about getting this feeling.

00:01:06,000 --> 00:01:10,000
Once you have that feeling you can try hitting a few of the nine to three swings

00:01:10,000 --> 00:01:16,000
where you feel like you fall into your left heel without actually falling there.
