Re: Left side Bend on Backswing Timing

  By: Mark E on Feb. 29, 2020, 5:10 p.m.

Thanks Tyler
Is there any info on the timing or extent of the pelvis left side bend?
I have read some info recently that it may be better to delay the left pelvic sidebend till closer to transition. This “feels” better to me and seems to load the ri…

Left side Bend on Backswing Timing

  By: Mark E on Feb. 12, 2020, 11:07 a.m.

Hi Tyler
I saw the video on right side bend timing and it was very interesting including the counterintuitive reveal that the right side bend increases at or after impact
Do you have any thoughts, data or empirical observations on the timing of left …

Re: Extension of Spine on Backswing

Thanks Tyler
I watched again and the Golftec teacher told Chris Como you should “feel” fully extended at shaft parallel. He didn’t use P2 but that was the position.
The actual graphics show Chris went from 40 degrees at address to 30 degrees of forwa…

Extension of Spine on Backswing

  By: Mark E on Oct. 22, 2019, 10:24 a.m.

I saw on Chris Como’s show on Golf Channel that Golftecs 6d analysis of Tour pros has the average tour pro moving from forward flexion to extension by the time the club is parallel to the ground on the takeaway. This seems early to me. I tried swin…

Thanks TylerThe first part of the graph through to impact is all positive .
Does this not mean anterior tilt until past transition ?
Is zero on this graph mean belt line parallel to the ground or just a neutral bend based on forward torso bend?

  By: Mark E on Sept. 14, 2019, 3:50 p.m.

Is there consensus on anterior pelvic tilt on the backswing and transition ? It seems I early extend without anterior tilt but it seems difficult to carry it through impact. Is it important to keep anterior tilt to coil into the right leg on the ba…

Re: Shane Lowry - Lead arm only?

Thanks
It doesn’t happen that frequently so its hard to capture but If I do I will.
I think I grip too loosely with the left hand possibly from when I fractured my radial head in my left arm and maybe played very right sided.

Do you think the right hand off after impact drill is good? This was an old Golf Digest Jim Flick drill. Every once in a while I let go with my left hand at around impact and just finish with my right hand. This is opposite of what many tour players…

Shoulder Alignment at Address

  By: Mark E on Aug. 10, 2019, 4:39 p.m.

I have observed watching professionals live that there is a tendency to be quite open with the shoulders at address. i think this would be a steepening move and require additional swallowing . This tendency to aim left is very common in my observati…
