Stuck Arms

Tyler,

I have had a heck of a time getting my arms back in front of me on the downswing and have a steep and deep pattern that causes a host of issues. I have a big turn in backswing a flat arm plane so maybe it’s a backswing issue but when I lift arms higher in backswing they suck back behind me even further in transition.

Can you point me to some of your favorite videos/drills for getting them back in front in transition?

Hi Garret,

If the arms are getting stuck, I'd first want to identify when they are getting stuck in order to determine a plan of action. Also, the combo of stuck and steep could be a different solution than just stuck. Do you have a couple videos of your swing? I'd probably want to see both face on and down the line.

Typically, for arms that are stuck, I think addressing spinning the shoulders is a key component. So Feeling like the back stays to the target longer or that the shoulders stay closed longer is usually a key part of getting the arms in front.
